An Asymmetrical restaurant and cooking simulator co-op game. The VR player plays the role as the cook, cooking burgers for customers while another player outside VR uses an XBox/PS4 Controller to play the role as waiter.

GAMEPLAY (7 / 10)

VR: The Diner Duo is a pretty fun game despite its simplicity in design as a VR restaurant simulator game for 2 players. The Cook (VR Player) cooks delicious burgers to order for each customer while The Waiter (Couch Player) collects the orders, pass them to The Cook via voice communicating, serves drinks. More burger menu items are added as the stages progress, making the game harder.

AVERAGE PLAY TIME (7 / 10)

The play time is not bad, of about 5-10 mins per stage depending on the difficulty level.

PLAY AREA (8 / 10)

The Play Area requirement for this game is a sitting/standing space for the VR player and a chair for the Couch Player. Roughly about 2.0m x 1.5m of space which is decent.

GRAPHICS (6 / 10)

Graphics aren’t fantastic but not bad for this game. Better work could be done on the background and sounds.

WHY THIS GAME IS GOOD FOR A VR ARCADE/EVENT

VR: The Diner Duo being one of the few Asymmetrical VR games show what VR is capable in roles since the 2 players are doing different roles inside and outside of VR. This game is easy to play and is good for couch arcades/console cafes for more casual and for-fun type games.
