What is Virtual Production?

Virtual Production refers a set of computer-aided production tools and visualization filmmaking methods. From producers to stunt directors, pre-production to production, Virtual Production (VP) changes the modern workflow of how filmmaking is done

The problem with traditional production workflows is that it is a complex process that works linearly. Changing things is challenging and costly and each step in the process is often done separately from others due to resources that are incompatible.

The problem with traditional production workflows is that it is a complex process that works linearly. Changing things is challenging and costly and each step in the process is often done separately from others due to resources that are incompatible.

Virtual Production toolset allows the process to be non-linear, more iterative and more collaborative. Filmmakers are able to work together on visual details in the moment. High quality imagery can be created from outset but still allowing for iteration. Assets are usable from previsualization to final output.

At Ignite VR, we utilize Unreal Engine 4’s next gen VP tools to partner filmmakers to assist them in revolutionizing the way they approach filmmaking.
